1940s Ivory Crepe Wedding Dress with Bakelite BuckleRegular price £650.00 Save £-650.00
Experience the essence of glamour in this beautiful vintage 1940s crepe wedding dress. This is an joyous example of the understated elegance of the 1940s: weighty, plain ivory crepe in a simple maxi length, with a very slight flare in the skirt, and classic pintuck detail at the front. The sleeves have been finished with a thick lace cuff, but the piece de resistance on this piece is its integral belt with ivory-effect bakelite buckle which features a deer motif. This has either been adapted or added at some point in the dress's journey. We love it.
The dress fastens at the back with six large buttons down the bodice area, and also has extra give at its left side with an opening fastened with a set of hooks and eyes.
This elegant wedding dress has a very soft V-neck, typical of its era, which could be very easily adapted or altered for a more contemporary look.
